The meeting, held on Tuesday, 26 September, at Villa Niscemi in Palermo, brought together members of the legal and accounting professions in the presence of Sicily’s Consuls General and Honorary Consuls. Among the speakers was lawyer and chartered accountant Daniele Baldassare Giacalone, who highlighted the many opportunities that London and the United Kingdom offer to businesses and private clients. Drawing on the extensive experience of SLTG, which has been operating in the City for over 15 years through its own office with both English and Italian-qualified lawyers and accountants, Mr. Giacalone shared insights on cross-border professional collaboration.
Another key topic addressed by Mr. Giacalone—who, in addition to being a Solicitor & ACA in England and Wales, also serves as a Representative of the Italian Industry & Commerce Office in the United Arab Emirates (IICUAE)—was the wide range of opportunities provided by the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). He underlined how Dubai continues to emerge as a strategic hub in the global financial landscape, offering valuable prospects for those seeking to expand their business internationally.
