The second IUYA Mission – International Union of Young Accountants – has concluded in Barcelona. It was an intense three-day event in which lawyer and accountant Daniele Giacalone took part as a member of the IUYA board, with the goal of strengthening networking with professionals in Spain who offer consulting and services similar to those provided by accountants.
The managing partner of SLTG participated in a discussion that highlighted differences in approach and professional practice between Italy and Spain, while also revealing shared expectations for progress — particularly in the areas of sustainability, investment in AI to support new professional activities, multidisciplinary collaboration among professionals, specialization, and international networking.
Given its similarities to the Italian market — especially the presence of many SMEs and various cultural affinities with Italy — Spain can serve as a gateway to broader opportunities through more favorable business agreements.
