The 10th edition of the Gulf International Congress, a major event organized by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the United Arab Emirates, concluded with great success.
Held during the first week of November, the congress served as a key platform for dialogue among professionals, entrepreneurs, and representatives from the Italian and Emirati economic and institutional sectors. The discussions focused particularly on corporate and tax regulations in the United Arab Emirates and the business opportunities available to Italian investors in Dubai.
The event took place in the luxurious setting of the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, just a short distance from the iconic Burj Al Arab.
A central focus of the initiative was the crucial role of the “representatives” of the Italian-Emirati Chamber of Commerce — independent lawyers and accountants selected and certified by the Chamber for their proven expertise in legal and tax matters. Among their key responsibilities is assisting Italian businesses in commercial operations aimed at entering the UAE market.
For Sicily, tax lawyer and chartered accountant Daniele Giacalone, Managing Partner of SLTG, was reconfirmed as the official Representative. With over fifteen years of experience in the United Kingdom and, since 2022, in Dubai through the Italian Chamber of Commerce desk, Mr. Giacalone continues to strengthen the bridge between Italy and the UAE.
More recently, Mr. Giacalone has also expanded his legal and tax practice to Abu Dhabi, further enhancing SLTG’s presence in the region.
The event and its outcomes have been featured in several industry and business publications, including:
