Conference at the Senate of the Republic: equal opportunities and young professionals

On February 1, 2023, an important training event was held in Rome at the Senate of the Republic, in the prestigious Sala Zuccari of Palazzo Giustiniani. The conference was organized by UNGDCEC, in collaboration with the ODCEC of Rome, and focused on the theme of equal opportunities in the professions.

Among the speakers was Rossana Giacalone, co-founder of SLTG, who shared her experience as a woman and professional. The event was also accredited for Continuing Professional Education for Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts by the Order of Rome.

Opening remarks were delivered by Senator Maurizio Gasparri, Vice President of the Senate of the Republic, together with Senator Marco Silvestroni, Secretary of the Presidency.

In addition to Matteo De Lise, President of UNGDCEC, and various representatives from the professional world, the conference saw the participation of numerous institutions, including government and parliamentary representatives such as Hon. Augusta Montaruli (Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of University and Research), Alessia Ambrosi (Committee on European Union Policies, Vice President of the Italian Group of the Inter-Parliamentary Union), Andrea de Bertoldi (Coordinator of the Chartered Accountants’ Parliamentary Council), Chiara Gribaudo (Vice President of the XI Committee on Public and Private Labor), Tatjana Rojc (Committee on European Union Policies), and Elena Sironi (Committee on Environment, Ecological Transition, Energy, Public Works, Communications, and Technological Innovation).

Dr. Giacalone has long been committed to promoting equal opportunities, recognizing the value of young professionals and their contribution to the development of the national system.
